Shwe Inn Tha Floating Resort Inle Lake, Myanmar review
www.inlefloatingresort.com/
cost | 170 USD
breakfast | included
The Shwe Inn Tha Floating Resort is located south west of Inle Lake, and a 1 hour boat ride from the township of Nyaungshwe.
Like its neighbouring houses in villages we passed by, the individual bungalows stood on stilts had thatched roofs and a wooden exterior which blended in perfectly with its surroundings. Although there were other buildings only a few kilometres away that we could make out in the distance, the resort felt quite secluded and had an element of privacy.
Our bungalow was towards the back of the resort and reception, which we liked as it acted as somewhat of a barrier against the noise of the boat engines that pulled up at reception, ferrying fellow tourists back and forth to the hotel. The room was quite spacious for 2 people and had a queen bed with mosquito nets. The interiors were also made entirely of wood which gave it a nice a homely ambience and warmth.
Wifi was almost non existent as we expected, but it was nice to feel unattached to social media.
Service was also very good, and the team at reception always made an effort to meet our requests.

We liked:
The privacy! It is literally positioned in the middle of the lake
Homely boutique feels rather than the standard hotel feels
Excellent service from the super friendly team
Free brekkie
Easy to book day tours
